“To the Senior Class of 2020: I have had the honor and privilege of being a teacher to many of you, including my AVID kids for up to the past four years, but also your class sponsor along with Ms. Maria and Ms. Urioste (and let’s not forget Ms. Reeves).  You are an incredibly special group that I will never forget.  Our classroom time may have ended, but, hopefully, not our friendships.  I expect to hear about all your amazing accomplishments.  And, yes, I do expect to name your first born either Salvatore or Sally after me!!  😉. Thank you for the memories.  I love you all.”-  Mr. Treppiedi

To the Senior Class 0f 2020. My favorite class and not just because it’s Caleb’s senior class but because you were so personable and fun. You have worked so hard for all the rewards of senior second semester. So despite not getting what you earned and have been looking forward to these last 4 years, I am very proud of each and everyone of you. This year will make you the strongest generation since World War two. Your family, friends and teachers love, respect and are very proud of you. You have restored my belief in the future generations. Love ya! Mr. Horton

Congratulations seniors it has been a pleasure to work and teach many of you over the last four years. This year's group of seniors has been hard-working, smart and full of personality and laughs! I am going to miss you all. I am sorry that things have changed so that we are not able to share a traditional graduation, but boy do you have a story to tell many years from now! As you start your lives I wish you all success and good wishes, keep working hard, keep learning and you will succeed in life. If you ever need any help or advice or just someone to talk to be sure to reach out to any of us here at Atrisco. Congratulations and may God Bless you all! - Mr. Soto

To the Senior Class of 2020: You have dealt with disappointments out of your control with grace, humility, patience, and understanding that is more than someone your age should have to bear. You all have worked tirelessly to reach this critical milestone and I respect your resilience. Although we didn’t get to recognize you as you deserve, for now, please accept my wholehearted congratulations, senors! It has been my privilege to have been your teacher and to know you during this important time of your lives. I hope for each of you, prosperity and a bright future. To all you, rising superstars (you KNOW who you are), remember us when you are famous! - Ms. Gonzales 🎵🎶🎵

Dear Seniors,

I am so proud of you all, and I wish we could all be together to celebrate all of your incredible accomplishments. Although, you didn’t get to do everything you had hoped for this semester, you now have quite the story to tell in the future: how I survived Covid 19 my senior year! I’m also incredibly proud of all of my Jaguar for Positive Change seniors.  You all worked so hard in my club the last few years, and you should be very proud of all of the work we have done in our community.  I hope that you will take what you have learned about giving back to your community with you into your futures, but I know that you will because that’s just how you are!  We will figure out a way for you all to be honored, but it just won’t be the same as other graduating classes, it will be a unique experience for a unique group of seniors I assure you!  So, keep your chins up, and know that we all appreciate all the hard work you have done!  Take care of yourselves, and keep in touch!  I hope to see you at some of Valle de Oro’s annual events in the future!

Peace, Ms. Critchfield

Class of 2020 Seniors,

I knew this class would be special but I did not realize the lifelong influence you would have in this world. Many of you did not get to perform in your last dance or cheer competition, play your last game, look silly and laugh in your last powder puff, dance at your last prom, or enjoy and create all the memories that you look forward to your whole childhood.  I and many others never imagined this would ever be. I am sorry that you seemed to have lost so much but I promise you are our CHAMPIONS! Though we do not get to be physically together during such an important time in your life, each and everyone of you hold a big part in our hearts and you will not be forgotten. I wanted to include the lyrics to Mariah Carey’s Hero. If I knew how to sing I would sing it but you may not enjoy that.  This song is dedicated to each and everyone of you. You are our Hero’s!!! CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2020!!!!!!

There's a hero, If you look inside your heart ,You don't have to be afraid, Of what you are There's an answer If you reach into your soul And the sorrow that you know Will melt away, And then a hero comes along With the strength to carry on, And you cast your fears aside, And you know you can survive, So when you feel like hope is gone, Look inside you and be strong, And you'll finally see the truth, That a hero lies in you, It's a long road, When you face the world alone, No one reaches out a hand, For you to hold, You can find love, If you search within yourself, And that emptiness you felt, Will disappear, And then a hero comes along, With the strength to carry on, And you cast your fears aside, And you know you can survive, So when you feel like hope is gone, Look inside you and be strong, And you'll finally see the truth, That a hero lies in you, oh, oh, Lord knows, Dreams are hard to follow, But don't let anyone, Tear them away, hey yeah, Hold on, There will be tomorrow, In time you'll find the way, And then a hero comes along, With the strength to carry on, And you cast your fears aside, And you know you can survive, So when you feel like hope is gone, Look inside you and be strong, And you'll finally see the truth, That a hero lies in you, That a hero lies in you...Mmm, that a hero lies in you
