The class of 2020 is a sad and very disappointing year because, not only do the seniors miss out on walking the line. But they have to stay home because of Covid-19. And everything is shut down so there is really nothing to do. A lot of seniors were really looking forward to this year because they all had plans for parties, going out to eat, and even going to college.

I talked to one of my baseball buddies, Matthew(Senior); and he said; “ It sucks not being able to play baseball and not have my graduation party. My family has spent a lot of money for my party and graduation gifts.” This year is bad for the seniors because this was a real crappy year for them. And not just them everyone, and even most people around the world are suffering from this Covid-19.

So there are some questions that a lot of seniors are asking. Here they are:

How do you get your cap and gown? And can you use someone else’s? Amanda Padilla (Senior) said,“ You have to order your cap and gown online and it’s like $ 40, but you can use your siblings’ old cap and gown if they went to Atrisco.”

When asked about what she thought of continuous learning, Amanda Padilla was, “ It’s a good way to get one on one with your teachers and connect with them in a different way, and it’s good because you can ask questions and get better help for your assignments.” However; Amanda said that being in school has more benefits. She stated, “It’s easier to be in school and it’s better because you can socialize with your peers and it gives you something to do instead of being home all day.”

Some kids may lack some knowledge next year because they weren’t doing so well in school, so switching to online classes causes the mind to get side tracked real easily. The main reason for this to happen is because when you are at home you have other things to do and you can become real lazy. Another reason is that no one wants to show their face on Google Meet so the teachers don’t know who is really listening and understanding the assignment. Doing things online from home for both teachers and students is a rough, one being is that teachers are enjoying this time off yet it’s hard because they have to stay home because of this atrocious disease going around.

Meaning teachers seem to be making work online somewhat easy and not as long of an assignment, than if we were still in school. So students will not get a challenge for doing the work. This also affects the seniors because they may or may not know what they need to know for the rest of their life.
